Learning Models - Week 2

Thanks for returning to the second week as I go through the course on Learning Models.

In this weeks course, we were asked to read about the Addie Model and develop our own personal mind map based on the model.

While building my mind map, I felt there were a few items that were placed in the development phase of the model that I felt should belong to the Design phase. Especially if you are working with a team of eLearning developers that are all working on the same project. This way, all designs and standards can be determined prior. This will allow for more consistent materials among the developed modules.

In week 2 of the Instructional Design: Digital Media, New Tools and Technology course, we studied what visual design consists of. There was a focus on the simplicity of design, and being able to critically look at the elements of design. Part of the task is to look and determine if the design adds value or serves a purpose. We were then introduced to several online resources or tools for creating visual design elements. Several of those listed I have used previously, and they are extremely useful to create a quick graphic or visual element. My favorite go to places include Canva , Venngage and Piktochart . Finally, we were given two tasks: 1. Update the Digital Checklist from Week 1 2. Create a digital document that could be used in an educational course. I only had one change to my digital checklist. Learning Models: Week 7 - SME Review

In Week 7, we were tasked with the following: Reflect on the information presented in the module this week regarding Bloom’s Taxonomy and how learning objectives should be developed based on the context of the context of situation presented.   Review the scenarios provided in this week’s worksheet and review the situation.  You must determine an appropriate goal and develop learning objectives to align to the goal you have created.  Remember, learning objectives must align with the goal you determined.  Conclude the assignment with a brief summary actions steps you would address with a SME.   Below is the link to my overview.
